This is because of the increasing number of single people in the country and setting up these agencies does not require much effort.
People who use these sites generally provide their personal information and then search the site for a partner using different parameters like age, sex, language, religion, educational and social background, location etc. Most of these sites allow people to upload their photos.
But, there will be many profiles which will have no photo. Many dating sites provide the facility of webcasting, online chatting or message boarding. Therefore, you can safely have your date in the privacy of your home using these facilities.
For getting the service of online dating, you have to get registered with these sites. Some of these sites allow you to register free of charge, some may charge you some monthly fee. Some sites have the facility of matching the profiles of their members according to their preferences and give you a list of suitable persons for your selection for date.
The foremost advantage in internet dating is privacy which has been already mentioned earlier. As you are not meeting any person physically, nobody comes to know about it. Your full identity is not revealed. Only what you have mentioned in your profile is revealed to the other person.
It is possible for you to date number of persons using internet dating as the other person would not know about it. It may be that you may be not serious about dating or doing it just for fun using internet dating. It is also possible for you to discontinue your dating with a person. Nobody’s feeling will get hurt if you do so.
